Imagine having all the money of the world and become upset because you lost one dollar. This would be ridiculous right? This example can be used for real life as well. We have 24 hours in a day. If you experience 10 minutes of anger or sadness in a day, you should not let those ten minutes affect the rest of the day. To make it more appealing during a day we have 1,440 minutes. If you take 10 minutes you still have 1,430 minutes left. That is still over 98 percent of your day. Of course, is much easier said than done, but 10 minutes should not ruin your entire day. Time does not stop for no one. Time does not care about what is going on in the world. It just keeps going and we should be appreciative with the time we have. That is why ten minutes of anger are not worth it. People should take a deep breath and continue living. It is easier to some people to grab this type of perspective than to others. After you read this article, it would be very appreciative to hear your comments. Even if you disagree.

Focus on yourself!

This can not be stressed enough. The most important thing in the world is yourself. Always try to improve. If you stay stagnate for the rest of your life, you will be living the same day every day. It will get to a point where you are going to ask yourself, what happen to my life. By expanding your skill sets, you have more options. You know that you do not depend on just one skill. You can multitask. By improving yourself daily, your mind will be distracted from all sorts of problem. You will enjoy increasing your capabilities of doing more. You will be able to help more people, and you will become a center of attention. Focusing on yourself also helps your mind to relax. It is a good mental exercise. Those ten minutes might be the most excruciating moments on your life, but when they go by you need to come back to the present time and acknowledge your feelings.

Embrace your emotions!

Life is unfair and hard. That does not mean you can not have fun. That does not mean everyday should be a nightmare. Is understandable that you are going through extremely rough moments. You should embrace them. Listen to your mind and body and think why you are filled with anger, sadness or hate. In those tough moments, take time to understand what you are feeling. Why are you feeling like that? Do not ignore them or let them control you. You oversee what you feel no one else.

Self-Care

This should be the most important of the list. During tough times in your life, you should take time off. You have the opportunity too take a day for yourself and do whatever you want to do. It should be positive to your health. It cannot be a self-destructive habit. Taking care of your self is hard. People think that is just hitting the snooze bottle and eating whatever you want. Many people cope with their problems in that way, but it does not work. People should go to the beach, the gym, run, spa, or even go out with friends. The worst option to go for, is feeling sorry for yourself and wanting to do nothing. In hard moments, those are choices you must become better. In other words, when times are tough is your opportunity to become a better version of yourself. The next time you are experiencing a hard time, try to notice how you try to cope with it. Ask yourself if you can cope with it in a better way. Self-care should be practice daily. Take one hour for yourself and do something that makes you happy. That can be cooking, playing video games, eating out, or going to the gym.

Ask for help!

If you are going through an unimaginable tough time and you are too scared to share it with you friends. Go ask for professional help. If you decide to repress your feelings, it will be worse in the future. Talking with someone professional, it will lift a weight over your shoulders. In addition, the professional help, will only hear you talk. Of course, they will write notes, ask you questions, and maybe point out some wrong doings, but they are helpful. They bring a fresh point of view, and its refreshing to be heard by someone.

Surround yourself!

Friends and family are the key to everything. If you know you have the support of three person, you will be unstoppable. Surrounding yourself with people that fill you, is the best medicine in tough times. The reason is that some of them will make you laugh while the other ones will cuddle with you. Cuddles and laughter, sounds heartwarming. Find those people in your life and be grateful for them. Share those horrible ten minutes you experience with them. In addition, they are cheaper than a therapy or doctor. Family and friends give you that unconditional love and do not be proud to go towards them. The real ones will help you no matter what.

Someone might have it worse

This one can be a tough love. Even though you might be having the worst day of your life, someone might have it worse. It always can be worse. During a tough time, put yourself in the shoes of another person that is having a worse day than you. Or simply imagine how can be worse. When you notice that it could have been much worse you will be grateful that it was not.
