Petr was preparing himself to go for his first time to salsa class. He arrived in the studio and immediately felt intimidated. He did not know where to stand or even how to stand. He slowly walked across the room and gently crossed his arm. He was overwhelmed and decided to leave. The moment he was stepping outside the studio, a voice with a type of accent said Stop. Slowly turning around Petr could put a face to the foreign voice.
Her name was Vi. With a smile in her face, she asks:
“where do you think you are going?”
“I forgot something” stuttering he replies.
“yeah sure”
“okay you got me, I was leaving.”
“why?”
“People already know each other, and they know what to do. I feel embarrassed.”
“Don’t be a fool, everybody starts from zero.”
“Yeah you are right”
“Here come with me.”
Vi grabs his hands and guided him how to move. Petr stepped on her multiple time in one song. She ignores the brutal stomps and continue smiling through the pain. That moment Petr looked into Vi’s eyes, he smiled and to avoid eye contact he looked down and laughed. The dancing classes started, and Petr was lost. The other students helped him, and he was grateful for them. After the class ended Petr has a crush on Vi. He made the decision of inviting her on a date.
Petr locked eyes on her and walked towards her bravely. He approached her and simply said goodbye and thank you. He entered his car and instantly felt embarrassed and weak. He turned his Toyota and went back directly to his apartment. At his home he was frustrated and felt locked. He went for a night walk to free the mind. During his walk he could only think about not been able to ask Vi out. He grabbed the hair of his heads and screamed. He was relieved.
The next day Petr, went for a walk the moment he woke up. He was brave in that day. He made a commitment with himself to ask Vi out. He waited anxiously to go to salsa class. He drove to the location and stayed in the car for a few minutes to gather his thoughts. He calmed his breathing and stormed out of the car and into the studio. This day the other students could feel his presence. He smiled and waved to everyone. Vi notice him and approached him:
“Well Well look who is back”
“Today I am going to be the best in the class.”
“We will see about that.”
Petr was wrong. What he managed to do, was to make all types of mistake possible and failed miserably. At the end of the class Vi laughed
“good job”
“Hahaha very funny, I tried my best.”
She pads him in the back and walks away. Petr hypnotize by her walk, decided to go for it. Walking towards he, this tall, lean, and fit guy entered the room. The first action he takes entering the room his grabbing Vi and kissing her, right in front of Petr. He felt disappointed. He went back to his Camry and deeply exhaled. He went back home and the same night he went for a walk. During his walk he decided to go to the gym the next day.
