Do you have a goal that you do not seem able to reach? Do you find yourself in a place where you are always failing? Is okay to have goals and is fine to fail, but aren’t you tired of that. Why do you think you can not make it happen? If you have to guess, would you choose lack of consistency? Consistency and discipline, those two traits are the key to achieve every dream and aim you have in mind. How to develop those two traits? Convert yourself to a dog.

Is the next question “WTF?” Let me explain. First to make something clear, being a dog it does not mean going around and hump everything you see. Being a dog is having discipline and consistency. If you had ever owned a dog, would you feed him the same food every day? If the answer is yes, you know for a fact he would always be waiting to be served. After eating, he probably would lay down or go towards you and play. That’s the take away of this metaphor, if you are working to achieve something, do the same thing every day that puts you closer to your goals.

Every day, you should give you all and with a smile in your face. Because if a dog eats the same food every day and is one of the happiest organism on Earth, we do not have an excuse to not be happy. Show the same of consistency as a dog. Every day, they are ready to start the day. They never have a sad day. Of course, they get injured, but the moment they are healed, boom!! Back to doing zoomies.

While you are working to your dreams, smile. If you are suffering, but working for what you are striving to smile through the pain. Keep going and do not stop. It will make you better and more prepared. Steve Harvey once said “if you are walking through he’ll do not stop in the middle of hell, keep going.” If you know you are struggling, continue through those rough times. Do not stop when you are close to your goals.

That’s the reason why organizing your days is important. Every day at least once a week you need to have created a schedule. If you want to start controlling your life, you need to know where you are spending your time. Probably is on social media, playing video games, or wasting time doing nothing. By having your schedule, you will navigate through the day with ease. You will feel in control and if is the same day every day, its better. You know what is coming. Find different experiences in the journey of achieving your goals.

Spend time in your goals, not in your distractions or in liabilities that set you apart from your ideal life. A dog spends its entire time enjoying its self. The reason they are always happy, they live in the present. Dogs do not have the frontal cortex that make them visualize a future. We have that advantage. Use that advantage in your favor. Be clear on what you want and chase it. Do not stop until you achieve it.
